THE POSITION
Under the supervision of the Maintenance III, and as a team member in the maintenance work crew, the custodian is responsible for the cleaning and housekeeping duties at designated TNDC sites. This position is full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the general cleanliness of the building interior and exterior and adhere to the cleaning schedule for all the properties assigned.

Sweeping and mopping floors.

Maintain trash removal systems including rotation of garbage receptacles and recycling.

Cleans and vacuum hallways, common areas, sidewalks and individual units as necessary.
- Attend required TNDC meetings.

Follow TNDC safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Be available by pager for emergencies per on-call schedule and respond to the building manager.

Wet dusting and cleaning windows.

“Bag & Tag” former resident belongings in vacant units.

Identify and report any problems in regards to maintenance, health, safety or security of the property to the site Manager.

Follow a schedule of preventative maintenance and perform additional cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
- Notifies the building manager of any needed supplies or equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to lift 60 pounds.

Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures including sanitation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 months of janitorial experience.
