THE POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Night Manager is responsible for responding to on-site emergencies at the building during evening/night hours and for providing back-up to desk clerks during breaks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to building emergencies during the evening/night hours
- Know main building systems and respond to emergency maintenance needs
- Walk building at least twice per shift to verify security and ensure cleanliness of common areas
- Cover front desk during breaks for desk clerks
- Maintain building log and list of restricted visitors
- Provide back-up to Manager during illness or vacation
- Participate in community events as needed
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work with a diverse, very low-income, multi-ethnic population
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Effective writing and communication skills
- Ability to work tactfully and under pressure
- Possess an even temperament and strong interpersonal skills
- Possess high degree of common sense
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of residential property management preferred.
- Other language capacity is an asset.
SALARY
Housing credit & cash compensation depending on hours worked
