Marcus, Desk Clerk, Property Management

pronouns: he/him

As a desk clerk, Marcus is on the front lines of TNDC Property Management and serving tenants at the Dalt Hotel. Everyday he helps residents stay informed, safe, and happy. Marcus loves making people laugh, spending time with his five-year-old daughter, and writing poetry. He is the proud owner of over 60 hats!

Patricia, Social Worker, Tenant & Community Services

pronouns: she/her

Patricia has been with TNDC for over 7 years! As a Social Worker at 1036 Mission Family Apartments, she plays a huge role in helping people stay stably housed, informed about available resources in the area, and thriving in their daily lives. Patricia and her co-workers often work together on community events such a back-to-school giveaways in family buildings and holiday celebrations. Patricia is also passionate about social justice and loves riding her bike anywhere near water!

Tom, Finance Manager, Executive Team

pronouns: he/him

Tom is a problem-solver. As the Finance Manager serving our Executive Team, Tom works with people from nearly every department to improve operational processes at TNDC. He’s currently leading a team to organize and combine data from TNDC’s many different systems, and ultimately, create a more complete snapshot of our work’s impact. Outside work, Tom is an active rock climber, lover of peanut butter, and the proud dog owner of Gogi.

Marylin, Office Assistant, Operations

pronouns: she/her

Marylin is an essential part of keeping TNDC running smoothly and effectively. As an Office Assistant in the Operations department, she supports TNDC staff and buildings, specifically the central offices, with a wide variety of tasks: mailing, communications through TNDC’s mainline and e-mail, purchasing/payment processing, transportation and process improvement efforts. Her favorite part of working at TNDC is the sense of community and family. One day she hopes to brave her fear of heights and go skydiving, but in the meantime, she’s already innovated the perfect snack: a mix of Xtra Flamin’ Hot Cheetos with cheddar cheese popcorn.

Cao, Custodian, Property Management

pronouns: he/him 

Cao is essential to keeping our main offices and the Tenderloin After-School Program clean and hygienic. As a Custodian, Cao’s role requires hard work, dedication, and being proactive. He is proud to be seen as a dependable teammate and appreciates that his co-workers clearly communicate tasks, as English is not his first language. Outside work, Cao enjoys karaoke and playing ping pong. Right now, Cao is undefeated among his friends.

Josefa, Desk Clerk, Property Management

Josefa has been working at TNDC for over 10 years! Josefa works as a Desk Clerk at the Ritz Hotel in the Tenderloin, and enjoys helping tenants with their needs and talking with them nearly every day. While the Ritz Hotel is an older building, Josefa notes that it’s a great environment that’s well-maintained and with friendly staff. Beyond Josefa’s work at the Ritz, they love painting and coloring—it’s a good way to reduce stress!
