Partner Profile: Compassionate Chefs Cafe

tndc-e-news-photo-ccCompassionate Chefs Cafe is a San Francisco-based non-profit organization with one goal: To help children locally and globally. To do so, they provide funding to TNDC’s Tenderloin After-School Program (TASP) and Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad, India to uplift the lives of the children and provide them with important resources to become members of the global village. 100% of funds raised through Compassionate Chefs is given to children, and since its founding in 2007, the organization has donated $64,000 to TASP.

Compassionate Chefs Cafe (CCC) was created by Chef Ranjan Dey, who is also the man behind the first New Delhi Restaurant in San Francisco, which is named one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the U.S. by The New York Times. Chef Ranjan is also one of TNDC’s longest running commercial tenants. Chef Ranjan has a strong spirit of giving. As he puts it, “Real generosity is doing something nice for someone who’ll never know.”
