AT TNDC’S CELEBRITY POOL TOSS
San Francisco’s Coolest Pool Party Turns 15 – Has Raised More Than
$1 Million for TNDC Programs Serving Children and Families
SAN FRANCISCO, CA Join some of the Bay Area’s most famous celebrities as they voluntarily take a dunk in the Phoenix Hotel pool to raise money for Tenderloin children and families at the Celebrity Pool Toss on Wednesday, October 10. San Francisco’s coolest party celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, having raised over $1 million to benefit the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation’s programs serving children and families.
This year’s Event Co-Chairs are Bonhams and Butterfields's Laura King Pfaff and Jim Losi; these two are reuniting from years back when they co-chaired this event together. MCs will include celebrity chef Tori Ritchie, ABC7’s Cheryl Jennings, and San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris.
Confirmed celebrities to take the plunge into the pool include writer and producer Robert Mailer Anderson, KRON's Bay Cafe host Joey Altman, Tipping Point Community founder Daniel Lurie, Bently Holdings Principals Christopher and Amber Marie Bently, Barbary Coast Consulting President Alex Clemens, San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau President Joe D’Alessandro, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce President Steve Falk, A.F. Evans Company chairman Art Evans, and Real Restaurants President Bill Higgins. Additional celebrity emcees and tosses to be announced.
Past participants have included Warren Hellman, Betsey Johnson, Don Johnson, Michael Tilson Thomas, Bob Weir, Robin Williams, Kristi Yamaguchi and many others.
Confirmed entertainment for the evening will be provided by The Fabulous Bud E. Love Show, Connie Champagne, and the San Francisco Tsunami Synchronized Swim Team. The super-fit lifeguards from Crunch Fitness will be on-hand to rescue any celebrities who can’t swim.

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation
Founded in 1981, TNDC’s mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with support services for low-income people in the Tenderloin community and be a leader in making the neighborhood a better place to live. TNDC now owns and manages 25 buildings that provide homes for 2,500 extremely low-income seniors, families, people with disabilities, low-income wage earners, immigrants and others in the Tenderloin and nearby neighborhoods. In addition, TNDC provides on-site supportive services and resources such as social workers and after-school programs to help residents stabilize their lives and develop a sense of community.
