1. Tenderloin People’s Garden

We can accommodate groups of up to six people for volunteering in the TNDC Tenderloin People’s Garden on our Harvest Days. The Urban Agriculture team will guide you in harvesting, cleaning, prepping, and distributing seasonal veggies to the immediate community. This is a great chance to work outside together, alongside our regular community volunteers, and get to know TNDC a little bit better.

Harvest Days are every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (with the exception of rainy days)
9:30 am-12:00 pm

2. Neighborhood Food Pantries

We can accommodate groups of up to four people to volunteer with us at our neighborhood food pantries. The SF-Marin Food Bank brings free produce and food staples to the Tenderloin and beyond. Come as a group to help us unload the trucks, set up the space and distribute food to our tenants and people from the surrounding community.

Willie B. Kennedy Neighborhood Pantry (1239 Turk Street)

Monday: 10-1 am

Kelly Cullen Community Neighborhood Pantry (210 Golden Gate)

Thursday: 8-11:30 am, 1-3 pm

3. Holiday Parties

During the holiday season in November and December, we host parties for our tenants in our buildings and volunteer groups are a great help to us. As a team, you would help us decorate, prepare gifts and materials, set up the event, serve food, and celebrate!

4. Other Volunteer Opportunities

Corporate groups can also volunteer with us by hosting a fundraising event at your company, or supporting one of the community events for our tenants.
