2550 Irving - Family Housing

Project Description

In the past decade, the Sunset District has lost a disproportionately high number of affordable rental homes with too few new units being built, even though the district is home to many working families. TNDC is hoping to help remedy that need with 2550 Irving, a 90 unit, 100% affordable multi-family development in the Sunset.

The development is a seven-story building that includes: 

• 90 studios, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments at a range of affordable rents
• 2,250 SF of ground floor community-focused space to support the neighborhood
• 11 on-site car parking spaces, as well as bicycle parking 
• Green spaces, including a rear courtyard

2550 Irving provides housing for households earning between 25% and 80% of area median income (AMI). It includes 11 apartments reserved for households who previously lived in the Sunset, 20 apartments reserved for veterans, and 9 apartments reserved for households that have been displaced from housing in San Francisco, expanding access and opportunities for families and children. Additionally, 25% of the apartments will serve families with direct experiences of homelessness referred through the City’s Coordinated Entry System (CES), in accordance with City requirements.
