TNDC Webster Street People's Garden grows for the community
The TNDC Webster Street People’s Garden is more than a new urban farm.
Serving seniors living at the Rosa Parks and Willie B. Kennedy Apartments in the Western Addition, this green open space represents food security, equitable harvest distribution, and freedom from the stigma of standing in line for food.
Michelle's health grows with access to nutritious foods
A resident of the Tenderloin, Michelle has benefited from nutritious food near her at local corner stores and the TNDC Tenderloin People's Garden. She also learned new recipes to lower the risk of diabetes from one of our food demonstrations.
What We're Reading
Much of our Food & Wellness work centers around the idea of food as medicine. We are working on innovative ways to encourage our neighbors to learn about healthy food and take their health journey into their own hands.
Volunteer in the TNDC Tenderloin People's Garden
Every week there are opportunities to volunteer in our community garden on the corner of Larkin and McAllister Street! Help us grow and harvest fresh produce that goes back to the community at no cost.
