Apply for a Home
When we have openings for housing, the building will show below on the map. Click the building for more info and to visit the building page on our website. You can also select the button "View as a List" and filter for "Accepting Applications" under "Status."
Please select the buttons below the map to Apply for a home, receive Housing Alerts for when housing becomes available, and see your Lottery Results if you've previously applied for housing. Most Applications, Alerts, and Results are on the San Francisco Housing Portal, DAHLIA at www.housing.sfgov.org.
We now have some housing with applications on a first-come, first-served basis, which does NOT go through DAHLIA. Please click on the building on the map for more details on applications.
Equal Housing Oppportunity Statement
We welcome all people regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, age, disability, HIV/AIDS status, or place of current residence.
Living in a TNDC Building
Tenants Sasha Howard, Siu Kwan Man Mui, Theresa Smith, and Ms. Shao Fong Liu share their personal experience living in TNDC housing. TNDC staff also share their experience serving the unique communities in each TNDC building.
Find More Available Homes
Our goal is for you to find a stable home that works for you and your family. Whether or not we have a home available for you, we encourage you to look at other opportunities and find the best fit for you. We also encourage you to apply to as many homes as possible. TNDC always receives far more applications than available homes.
Find Temporary Shelter
Our goal is for you to find a stable home, but we know it's a challenging and long process. In the meantime, you can find temporary shelter and homeless services through the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. Stay strong and keep hope. TNDC and many others are building more affordable homes so everyone can have a home someday.
More Housing Resources
If you are looking for housing resources in San Francisco, we encourage you to visit the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development. You can find housing, resources to fight evictions, and more.
