Across the Table: Cooking and Conversation with TNDC & Farming Hope

Food insecurity is one of the biggest issues facing underserved San Franciscans. It is a crucial aspect of one of TNDC’s pillars: Health. Right now, the system we rely on is not providing adequate access to healthy foods and wellness resources to our community.

We discussed food insecurity in San Francisco with our very own Rebbeca Barajas (pronouns:she/her), Food & Nutrition Supervisor and our partner, Farming Hope.

SF Real Estate Taxes Reimagined

This was an interactive webinar discussion about Prop I, a Real Estate Transfer Tax measure that was on San Francisco's November 2020 ballot. This measure intends to double the transfer rate on properties valued over $10 million.

San Francisco District 5 Supervisor Dean Preston, sponsor of this measure, and Jay Cheng of the Chamber of Commerce, who worked closely with the opposition campaign, debate the impacts of Prop I on everyday San Franciscans.

"Joining the TNDC Neighborhood Partners increased my empathy for my fellow San Francisco residents and taught me a lot about the hurdles it takes to provide livable conditions and programs for those that need it the most."
