Join the Tossee Legacy

We know, jumping in a pool sounds kind of crazy. But since 1993, over 200 local leaders and luminaries (past tossees included Robin Williams and the Oakland Raiders!) have been jumping into the (heated) Phoenix Hotel pool to support families in the Tenderloin community. Our tradition may sound silly, but it's truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.

What Does a Toss Look Like?

Whatever you want it to look like! As a tossee, you'll provide the vision and have a whole team behind you every step of the way. We'll help you bring your skit and costume to life OR animation, set you up with your very own peer-to-peer fundraising page, and promote your good work!

Cécile Chalifour, West Division Manager, Community Development Banking, Chase

"It’s so much fun to be able to do something with a lot of friends and partners to support TNDC. It’s a good cause and it’s a great way to get a lot of amazing people to have fun with you for the right reasons!"

What Does the Pool Toss Look Like?

We know, the Pool Toss is hard to picture, but this video gives you a taste of the crowd, the atmosphere, and the fun! Truly a one-of-a-kind event, the Pool Toss creates memories that last a lifetime!

Anne Torney, Partner, Mithun

"I would do anything for TNDC and especially for the kids in the Tenderloin...I'm really happy to be here and it's so fun being a tossee. There's so much goodwill, so many people love TNDC and coming out and participating...I'm psyched!"

Support Kids in the Tenderloin Community

Each tossee, sponsor, and ticket supports kids living in the Tenderloin who are dreaming of their futures. Over 200 kids ages 7-18 regularly attend the Tenderloin After-School Program (TASP) for tutoring help, hands-on learning, college application support, activities celebrating different cultures, and having fun with friends. Help support kids grow, thrive, and succeed!
