Volunteer Opportunities

SF-Marin Food Bank brings free produce and food staples to the Tenderloin and beyond. Our pantries help to distribute the food in our neighborhood. There is limited space at our pantries, so this is good for 1-3 people per shift. This opportunity is ongoing.

Mondays: 10-1 am

Supportive Housing Pantry (210 Golden Gate)
Thursdays: 8-11:30 am

Central Tenderloin Neighborhood Pantry (210 Golden Gate)
Thursdays: 1-3pm

There is usually a lot of work to be done at the TNDC Tenderloin People’s Garden with the help of volunteers. No experience necessary, we work with all skill levels!

Tenderloin People’s Garden Open Hours (currently on hold due to Covid-19):
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10 am – 12 pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 3 pm – 5 pm

Harvest Days (currently on hold due to Covid-19)
Harvest Days are every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (with the exception of rainy days)
10 am – 12 pm

We often host community events for our tenants in our buildings, and volunteers are a great help to us. You could be tasked with helping us decorate, prepare gifts and materials, set up the event, serve food, and celebrate! (Event volunteering currently on hold due to Covid-19.)

Occasionally we have other volunteer opportunities available, such as working in our administrative offices, running a food or supplies drive, hosting a fundraising event at your company, or supporting one of the community events for our residents.
