Serving 134 individuals with extremely low incomes including those currently living with health issues

Located in the heart of the Tenderloin, the Ambassador Hotel was acquired by TNDC in 1999 after the building had fallen into such a condition that the building’s long-term residents and social service agencies that served them had to move out. TNDC stabilize the building with repairs and provided relocation planning for the existing tenants. The building was retrofitted and construction was complete in 2003.

The building includes onsite social services provided by TNDC, SRO units with private baths, community kitchens, an expanded hotel lobby, and laundry rooms. The Ambassador Hotel provides a space for seniors to live and thrive.
