Mimi Yee, 2012 Bro. Kelly Cullen Community Services Award Honoree

A traditional highlight of TNDC’s Annual Birthday Dinner is the Community Service Award, presented each year to an individual who has shown exemplary support and commitment to TNDC and the Tenderloin neighborhood. To honor Brother Kelly Cullen for his many years of outstanding service to TNDC and his undying commitment to the Tenderloin neighborhood, this award has been named in his honor.

2012 Award Recipient: Mimi Yee, Owner of Manor House Restaurant

Mimi’s restaurant not only serves healthy, low-cost meals, but provides a community gathering place for those living alone in SROs. Without Manor House in the neighborhood, many low-income residents would have one less place to gather, socialize, share a meal and leave with money in their pockets.
